Space Reservation

FEDC Space Reservation Request Form

For reserving a table, workspace, equipment, or locker for a semester.

This form is for requesting semester term reservation of equipment that the FEDC has to offer to its students. Please only submit requests for starting space reservations for current semester. The reservation form will be a submission for your entire group/organization. An information placeholder will be placed on the equipment for the duration of the reservation visible for all to see. Be advised that priority goes to the following in the order listed: Capstone/ Senior Design, ENGR labs, and all other special groups. It takes up to a week for any requests to be processed. Please note that after your reservation expires you will have until May 10th/December 10th to return all borrowed items along with removing all personal belongings. Any personal items left will be discarded at the owners’ expense.

To reserve space as a team (workspaces or storage), you will need to register your team. Failure to do so will result in your request to be pending or cancelled. Visit the Team Account page to register.

  • Customer Information

  • Use the Team PIN that was assigned by the Fischer EDC after your team submitted the Fischer EDC Team Account Request and was approved.
  • Enter your TAMU email.
  • Please enter the email of the Point of Contact (POC) listed in the Team Account Request.
  • Project Information

  • Please provide your course number.
  • Work Space

  • Workbench: 4' x 4' table with 2 chairs and a power strip (12 power outlets) at each table (Senior Design/Capstone ONLY)

    Open Build: 6' x 8' workspace for large projects (chairs provided upon request)

  • These spaces are only for Senior Design/Capstone teams, with the exception of Link Parking for any registered FEDC Team.
  • Please describe you need for a Workbench space in as much detail as possible.
  • Please describe you need for an Open Build space in as much detail as possible.
  • Please describe you need for a Link Parking space in as much detail as possible.
  • Please provide the estimated final dimensions of your project.

    Basement Locker: The sizes varies and requires additional approval process; typically 4 times the size of standard lockers

  • Please describe you need for a Rolling Cabinet space in as much detail as possible.

  • Computer Kit: Keyboard, Mouse, & Monitor Screen

    Electronic DC Power Supply

  • Please describe you need for a Electronic DC Power Supply in as much detail as possible.
  • Project Safety Information

  • Please describe your safety precautions for drone with propellers or jet exhaust in as much detail. Drones will not be allowed with propellers inside the FEDC nor can they be flown inside.
  • Please describe your safety precautions for AC voltage mixed with water
  • Please describe your safety precautions for AC power requirements higher than 48V (Volts)
  • Please describe your safety precautions for emitting a loud noise above 80 dB
  • Please describe your safety precautions for chemicals of a dangerous nature in the natural state
  • Please describe your safety precautions for high-pressure gas or air exceeding 20 PSI

  • By writing your name here, you agree that your project has no safety risks associated. Failure to indicate any risks will result in dismissal.
  • Drone Flight Rules

  • PLEASE mark or label your drone with your FAA REGISTRATION Number.
  • FAA Registration Required!

    You cannot continue your drone project without FAA approval. Click here to register your drone with the FAA

  • Make sure to properly mark your drone with your FAA registration number before bringing it to the Fischer EDC.

  • Consent and Acknowledgements

  • I acknowledge that this is just a request form and does not guarantee that I will be approved for a workspace, storage space, or equipment set up.

    I understand that I am required to have an approved team account before this request can be approved.

    I acknowledge that there is a limited amount of space and I may be put on a waitlist if all spaces are filled but I was preapproved.

    I understand that after I am approved and assigned a work space that I will need to utilize iLabs to set up a time to come in and use my space.

    I agree to only use equipment that has been assigned to my team and to not occupy other equipment.

    I certify and consent that my team has completed all necessary training and this safety evaluation is complete, accurate, and true to my best knowledge.
